The applicants shall pass a proficiency check within the 3 months preceding the expiry date of the rating, or
Complete 12 hours of flight time in the relevant class, within the 12 months preceding the expiry date of the rating, complete including 6 hours as PIC, 12 take-offs and 12 landings, and a refresher training of at least 1 flight hour.

Training is determined on a case-by-case basis taking into account the following:

The experience of the applicant
The amount of time elapsed since the privileges of the rating were last used
whether the applicant has a current rating on another aircraft type or class
where considered necessary assess the performance of the applicant during a simulated proficiency check for the rating in an FSTD or an aircraft of the relevant type or class.
