Multi-Engine Rating

The Multi-Engine Piston (MEP) Class Rating course is designed to equip pilots with the skills, experience, and theoretical knowledge required to meet the standards outlined in PART-FCL. This comprehensive training prepares pilots to successfully complete the ground and flight tests necessary for obtaining the MEP Class Rating for Single-Pilot Aeroplanes. Upon completion, pilots will have the competence and confidence to safely exercise the privileges of the MEP Class Rating, expanding their capabilities and career opportunities.

Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Hold a valid EASA PPL(A)
  • Obtain an EASA Class 2 Medical Certificate
  • Complete EASA CPL(A) or ATPL(A) theory
  • Log at least 70 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on airplane
topics covered
The course covers a wide range of essential topics, including Principles of Multi-Engine Flight, Aircraft Systems and Performance, Emergency Procedures, Navigation Techniques, and Instrument Flying in Multi-Engine Aircraft. Additional subjects include Operational Procedures, Weight and Balance, Human Performance, and Meteorology specific to multi-engine operations. Each subject is assessed through a practical application and skill demonstration, ensuring pilots meet the proficiency standards required for the MEP Skill Test.
Duration 1 Week
FLIGHT training
15 hours of training, which includes:
  • 7 hours of theoretical knowledge training
  • 6 hours of Multi-Engine Piston (MEP) flight training
  • MEP Skill Test: 2 hours, conducted with an authorized examiner
